  • Jacinta FitzGerald - Chief Executive

    Jacinta is the Chief Executive of Mindful Fashion. An experienced sustainability strategist, Jacinta brings more than 20 years of experience in the clothing and textiles industry to her role. Alongside her work with Mindful Fashion Jacinta runs MakeGood, a consultancy that works with innovative apparel sector brands in NZ and globally to put circular and regenerative practices at their core.

Board of Directors

The MFNZ Board oversees the strategic direction of the organisation. The Board is made up of a diverse and influential group of individuals from both inside and outside the fashion and textiles industry who share a common purpose and commitment for a sustainable and thriving future for our industry.
  • Juliette Hogan - MFNZ Chair; Founder and Owner, Juliette Hogan

    Juliette founded Juliette Hogan 18 years ago and now has five NZ stores and multiple stockists across the country with a growing team of 34. The brand recently won the Supreme Business Excellence Award at the Westpac Auckland Business Awards 2021.
  • James Walker - Independent Consultant | GM Customer Programme - Vector

    James has been on the board since our founding and was the organisation's inaugural Chair. James Walker runs his own strategy consultancy and is currently on a full-time engagement with Vector leading customer transformation. He works with businesses, not-for-profits, and government agencies on strategy and reputation. Previously, James has held executive leadership roles at the Ministry for the Environment and Woolworths supermarkets. He is a former New Zealand diplomat.
  • Emily Miller-Sharma - Co Founder, Mindful Fashion | General Manager, Ruby

    General Manager at RUBY, and designer of the company’s Liam label. Emily has worked at RUBY for 11 years, and founded Mindful Fashion New Zealand alongside Kate Sylvester and Wayne Conway.
  • Emma Wallace - Managing Director, Kowtow

    With a 25 year background in the industry, 10 years ago Emma joined Kowtow and alongside founder Gosia Piatek and the team, has grown the Wellington clothing brand internationally whilst ensuring sustainable and positive impacts are the priority. In 2019 she stepped into the role of Managing Director.
  • Megan Welch - CEO, Kathmandu

    Megan brings over 18 years of global brand and retail expertise. Before joining Kathmandu in 2023, she helped grow Crocs into a business reaching more than 85 countries. A passionate and inclusive leader, Megan is drawn to organisations that prioritise quality, sustainability, and innovation.⁠
  • Roanne Jacobson - Founder and Creative Director, Saben

    Roanne has led the brand’s growth over 23 years through innovation, strategic partnerships, and a community-led approach. Roanne’s experience spans the full vertical from design and manufacturing to logistics, wholesale, and e-commerce, and includes Saben’s recent achievement of B Corp certification.⁠
  • Carrie Gage - GM Sustainability, ASB

    Carrie brings deep experience across the public and private sectors, law, and government. Her previous roles include senior advisor to Minister James Shaw and private secretary to the Minister of Justice.⁠
  • Sandra Tupu - Founder, Designer and Educator, Flying Fox Clothing

    Sandra is an award-winning fashion and costume designer. Her brand Flying Fox Clothing specialises in artisan pieces, small capsule collections and costume design and showed at NZFW in 2023. Alongside her brand, Sandra works in tertiary fashion education part-time at AUT - Auckland University of Technology.
  • Pam Lowe - CEO, Nisa Clothing

    Pam is an experienced pattern maker, sample machinist and production manager. Pam has worked at Wellington brand Nisa since 2018 and became CEO in 2023. With a passion for sustainability, Pam wants to support New Zealand's apparel manufacturing sector.
